ADVANCE PROGRAM
ADVANCE Program
AN INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAM
designs for children and adolescents who require urgent access to
multidisciplinary or multi-modal intensive treatment in order to avoid
further acute decompensation to hospitalization.
OVERVIEW
The program consists of comprehensive multidisciplinary evaluation,
weekly personal goals group, psycho-education, experiential group
psychotherapies, parent/family education, family psychotherapy and
multi-family group activities. Service intensity will consist of three hours
daily for three days a week for the duration of the program. Typical length
of stay will be three to four weeks with step-down to traditional outpatient
services at the same or another location.
UNIQUENESS
The only such program for children in the Dallas-Fort Worth
metroplex.
It is reimbursed by a number of insurance plans.
One of very few IOPs in the nation which is medically
supervised by a board-certified child psychiatrist.
INTENSITY
The ADVANCE Program provides the benefits of hospital
without the stigma and trauma.
Medication assessment and management occur daily on
IOP days.
CARE
Our ratio of 1:2 staff to patients compares favorably to many
inpatient programs.
Practice rate of 86% treatment success for outpatient crisis
stabilization
Each of our patients is assigned an individualized treatment
plan and an individual care manager.
RESPONSIVENESS
Our staff of licensed clinicians and psychiatrist maintain
daily communication with parents and caretakers.
Input from parents, educators, and caretakers is sought as
part of active on-going treatment planning.
Our schedule is 4:00 to 7:00 PM and allows for no
disruption of school.
